What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an expert on the front-end and is comfortable working with everything from Javascript to disciplines of UX that affect SEO including Information Architecture, Interaction Design and Visual Design. In this role, you will work closely with a small, cross-functional team on Discogs’ foundational Database product to optimize and improve SEO.

Considering this position will require working closely with other Discogs teams such as Marketing and it will be critical to exercise a strong sense of initiative and collaboration.

Your Wheelhouse

  • Develops and maintains software following an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Collaborates with team members on troubleshooting and creating elegant solutions to complex problems
  • Assists with estimation and prioritization of development efforts
  • Actively engages with members of cross-functional, product-focused teams to build a variety of features
  • Provides mentoring to other developers through regular code review
  • Guides technical decisions related to front-end development and SEO best practices
  • Ensures our web application is usable and consistent across many platforms and devices

How You Got Here

  • Two or more years of experience building scalable and high traffic web applications with a focus on front-end and SEO
  • Preference for Open Source software tools
  • Proven track record of shipping code and getting things done
  • Experience with automated testing and test-driven development
  • Demonstrates effective communication with a global team in multiple time zones
